New Additions to the KB Family

Kenton Brothers is so glad to welcome two new employees to the team!

FullSizeRenderBrandon Fortner, our newest employee, is our Inventory Control Clerk.  He’s working with our current inventory champ to learn the ropes before we say goodbye to Byron in October when he moves to Arizona.  Brandon loves the family company and the company family here at Kenton Brothers and is grateful to work somewhere where he feels like an important part of the team.  He lives in the Northland with his wife, Melissa.

BIG News!!!

The internet has had quite a bit of excitement this week…

We’ve seen Kim Kardashian’s back side, then the rest of her as she tried to ‘break the internet’.  Al Roker set the World Record for the longest consistent weather forecast.  The Patriot’s football organization reached 1 million Twitter followers.  And the European Space Agency landed on a comet!

While we can’t really compete with Kim Kardashian, at Kenton Brothers we’ve had our own pretty big week–we welcomed 3 new employees to the KB Team!

Rusty Braxdale, Queen of Purchasing, may look small, but she can bake circles around anyone willing to challenge her.  Richard Robertson, otherwise known as ‘Super Tech Man’, can scale buildings and wire cameras in a single bound.  And Derek Carson, the baby of the company, will be following around pretty much everybody learning all he can about locksmithing.

*Interesting fact: Derek became interested in the locksmithing trade when he locked himself out of his car at a Home Depot.  Not wanting to pay a locksmith to come bail him out, he walked right back in the store, purchased various parts and pieces, and built himself a lock pick!  Now that’s ingenuity, folks.

Please stop by and welcome our new team-members the next time you find yourself in the Crossroads!

New forms to ‘Contact Us’

In an effort to streamline business processes and to keep the focus on the needs of our customers, I have created easy to use forms on our ‘Contact Us’ page.  You will find four different options when you land on ‘Contact Us’: distribution counter, custom systems, service, and billing.

green-lock-pictureDistribution Counter:  You now have the option to submit a project cost estimate to our guys working in distribution sales.  Enter your name, email, phone (optional), and a short description of  the project you need pricing on.  Our guys will work up an estimate saving you time when you come it–just let them know you sent in a request, and you’ll be one step closer to your project being complete!

Red-pin-security-wordCustom Systems:  Kenton Brothers offers free walkthroughs on our custom systems.  If you would like to have one of our salespeople out to look at your project,  fill out the form for a custom solution consultation and we will call to set up an appointment.  The more information you can give us up front the better, so the form allows for your name; company; phone; email; address; website; the solutions you are interested in whether it be access control, video surveillance, site management, business processes, or any combination thereof; and a brief description of your needs.

tech-support-buttonService: Sometimes it seems like it’s easier to fill out a request online than it is to make a phone call.  This is our thinking behind the service request form.  It’s got all the basics: name, date, phone, email, address, and a short description of the problem you’re experiencing.  With all this information at hand, Jenny can then call you with some scheduling times and we can get you back up and running without the hassle of back and forth calls exchanging pertinent information!

AccountantBilling:  Who hasn’t had a billing question???  With Kenton Brothers new system, you can enter in a request for an inquiry and even upload files necessary to come to a resolution!  No more faxing or scanning.  No more calling and returning calls.  Just one simple request form and our accounting department can get you all sorted out.

In addition to these new contact forms, please feel free to use the ‘one-size-fits-all’ contact form right on the ‘Contact Us’ page.  A Kenton Brothers associate will get back to you as soon as possible to help with your request!

KB Office Olympics: the competition is ON!

Here at Kenton Brothers we are always looking for different ways to engage each other and keep our work environment unpredictable and fun.  It’s in this vein that I decided to host the ‘KB Winter Olympics’……complete with special office-friendly events and a medal ceremony for the winners!

We could all use a little more activity throughout our day, and it’s not very likely you or I have the time and money to travel to Russia to watch the games. If you’re busy grinding away at your 9-5, this will be a great way to turn your desk job into something more active and fun… as long as you’re not afraid to look a little silly.

Feel free to take my lead and institute your own office olympics–I’d love to see the results!  And stay tuned for the exciting results and photo-ops as we GO FOR THE GOLD at KB!!
