Kenton Brothers Systems for Security is a privately held 127-year-old security firm in Kansas City, Missouri. We specialize in physical security (mechanical and electronic locking hardware) as well as security technology (access control, video surveillance systems and integration). Project Managers are responsible for executing the jobs  successfully on time and within budget. Project managers are the primary point of communication for the customer and the technicians assigned to the job. The PM uses all available resources to execute the job as efficiently as possible while meeting the customer’s expectations.

For a person to be successful in this role, you must have enterprise level experience in the following markets; health care, federal government, education, municipalities, financial institutions and utilities.

Job related functions:

• Understanding Job scope and communicating it to techs on site.
• Check ERP for PO expected dates
• Coordination of POs with purchasing to change vendor in order to meet customers expected installation timeline.
• Customer Communication for scheduling, Job status, change orders, issue resolution
• Scheduling job in accordance to parts expected date and customer’s expectations
• Communicate prevailing wage to the technicians before the job starts.
• Verify the technician has the proper PPE before going on site.
• Verify proper safety training is obtained before allowing the technicians onsite.
• Adding, removing or changing parts needed to meet scope.
• Coordinating with inventory / technician’s parts delivery to job site
• Coordination or direct purchasing of “other” materials and making sure that they arrive before tech needs them
• Set daily goals for technicians for jobs.
• Reviewing technician’s job notes, plan accordingly or take corrective actions.
• Tracking efficiency on the job and taking corrective action when required.
• Provide technical support for technicians on site using external resources when needed.
• Managing the inventory on a job and making sure inventory not used is returned to the warehouse.
• Verifying, in conjunction with project administrator, that the charges on the job are correct before invoicing.
• Conduct weekly progress and job cost review meetings with install manager and PA.
• Manage a minimum of 2 million a year in integration.
• Coordinate with engineer to Send the customer as-builts.
• Coordinate with engineer to send as-builts and O&M’s.
• Verify proper safety training is obtained before allowing the technicians onsite
• Coordinate, with PA, the purchasing of “other” materials and making sure that they arrive before tech needs them
• Coordinate with PA to identify and schedule subcontractors.

Technician Management functions

• Coordinate with training development Manager to schedule training for technicians
• Encourage and train technicians to exemplify the “KB way”.
• Review and manage overtime and time off for technicians
• Verify technician time in Paylocity
• Corrective counseling and documentation with technicians when policies are not followed.

Other functions

• Manage RMA process as it is related to job parts.
• Reporting injuries to HR immediately.
• Weekly job revenue forecasting
• Provide quality control for Job installations.
• Other duties as assigned
