BBQ and Brass 2017: A Recap of our Annual Customer Appreciation Event

Kenton Brothers: BBQ and Brass 2017Founded in 1897, Kenton Brothers Systems for Security is one of the oldest and most trusted security and technology providers to commercial organizations in Kansas City. We provide all aspects of physical security. From locking hardware and keying systems, to IP access control and camera systems. We facilitate our customer’s dynamic business and infrastructure goals and objectives.

We recently hosted our annual customer appreciation BBQ catered from Hyvee who brought out their grill. They grilled hamburgers and hot dogs to help us thank our customers for 120 amazing years of business. What better way to say thank you, than a little fun in the sun and some BBQ together!

We had vendors on site including Masterlock , Allegion and CSC to answer any questions our customers had about their products. Masterlock had a variety of padlocks to show from commercial grade to high security including a new Bluetooth padlock. Allegion and CSC had a great display of touch screen levers sets that allow access to your home or building with a keypad and a variety of deadbolts.

Another tradition we follow each year is a collection event for the key drive effort benefiting the Ronald McDonald House charities of Kansas City. This is an annual event dating back several years that capitalizes on the high value of recycled brass. Almost all keys are made from the metal, which enjoys a 3:1 increase in payout over aluminum when recycling. By combining the two events into one, our hope was to bring out more people; essentially equating to more keys, and more money for the Ronald McDonald House.

Thank you Kansas City and Mid-Missouri for making this year a great one! We look forward to many more years together.
