Employee Spotlight: Taylor Peebles, Field Services Coordinator

Taylor Peebles and her dogsTaylor Peebles joins the Kenton Brothers team with a strong background in project management with an emphasis on customer service.

Taylor’s eight years of experience in custom interiors and construction bring a customer focus to the forefront of her work. She is good at making sure the small details are always treated carefully and with the customer in mind. You’ll often see Taylor in our office answering calls for customers. She also assists the Kenton Brothers team with every day duties such as scheduling and helping customers/colleagues by listening to their concerns and looking for solutions.

Taylor enjoys being involved in business planning, problem solving and teamwork to achieve company and personal employee goals.

When Taylor is not in the office, you can find her enjoying time in her first home with her partner, Evan. Taylor is a dog mom of two very opposite, fun-loving dogs; Boston the Schnoodle and Bonnie the Pitt-mix. Outside of new homeowner life, Taylor loves spending time at the lake with her family, swimming with her two nephews and grilling over a fire pit. You’ll likely catch Taylor “thrifting” and shopping for antiques on the weekends.

Employee Spotlight: Marquan “Mark” Jones, Access Control Specialist

Kenton Brothers is proud to have Marquan Jones join our Field Services team!

Marquan has been in the security industry for about four years with a background in IT and Technology for many more. A KC Native and Military Veteran, Marquan was first introduced to the tech industry in his Navy days where he worked on high frequency transmitters and later in networking solutions. You will most often see Marquan when requesting a KB service call as he loves troubleshooting and getting to the bottom of problems. He enjoys being involved in installations where he gets to be a part of the implementation process for our customers.

When Marquan is not in the office or out in the field you will find him out in the city embracing the rigmarole of parenthood.

Marquan Jones and FamilyWith his wife, Keya, and four kiddos Jelise, Jayden, Skylar, and baby Miya, Marquan jokes he will likely be enjoying kindergarten round ups and graduations at the same time. Outside of the dad life, Marquan is an avid Chiefs fan like many of us in the office and a regular season ticket holder. You will likely catch him next season like many of us down at Arrowhead.

If you ever get a chance to speak with Marquan, you really get a feel for how much he enjoys what he does. “I love this field because it’s challenging; its always changing, each visit is different, it’s always something new.”

Employee Spotlight: Garrett Scarlett, Senior Security Consultant

Garrett ScarlettKenton Brothers is excited to introduce Garrett Scarlett as a Senior Security Consultant.

Garrett is a former KU Jayhawk alumni with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He’s always had a natural curiosity for how things work (and creating a solution when they don’t) which makes him a great fit for the KB team. He enjoys the changing speed of technology, keeping up with the trends and being a public facing engineer and subject matter expert. Also, Garrett enjoys the unusual sale that requires out of the box thinking to create a customized solution.

Garrett is happily married to Ashley and together they are raising a dog Hershey and a cat Pumpkin. He is what I would call an “everything enthusiast” as he enjoys cooking, vinyl collecting, kayaking, antiquing. He’s also an avid taco connoisseur… just to give you a small glimpse into the things he enjoys doing.

We are so happy to have Garrett be a part of the KB family!

Employee Spotlight: Todd Yarnell, Estimator

Kenton Brothers welcomes Todd Yarnell to our Sales Team. Todd brings over 30 years of experience in the overhead door industry and more than 20 years of experience with specialty doors/frames and hardware. Todd has unique expertise within this field. He can easily identify what type of door is needed to best secure any operation down to the exact quantity of hinges required to make the perfect hanging fit.

He specifically enjoys and looks forward to bringing coiling or commercial roll-up doors to our customers… as well as high speed doors which go as quickly as 30 hinges per second! Within this specialized industry, Todd is able to solve and enhance so many solutions for the commercial customer and assist in keeping facilities #AllSecure.

When not working with doors/frames and hardware, Todd spends his time with his wife Jennifer, their three daughters and five granddaughters. They enjoy the outdoors while hiking and camping. Todd also enjoys making custom knives as a fun hobby. And he has puppies (Rottweiler and Chihuahuas) which makes him an even better culture fit on our KB team!

Employee Spotlight: Kristal Blessing, Distribution Sales Consultant and Project Manager

Kristal Blessing is a great new addition to the KB team as a Distribution Sales Consultant and Project Manager and she already feels right at home.

She said, “I feel like I’m where I’m supposed to be. That’s how much I love what I do, and who I work with.”

Kristal has been in the distribution hardware business for four years and considers this to be her dream job. “I love it because it’s challenging. It’s always changing, so there’s always something to learn.” When asked about what she likes working at Kenton Brothers she said, “ I love the family atmosphere. Kenton Brothers puts customers and employees first, and it’s rare to find a company like that.

Also, I love all the dogs.” We love it when Kristal brings her adorable puppy, Ace, to work.

When not busy with her work family, Kristal is busy spending time with her family at home. She’s a single mom of two daughters Reese, who is almost 14, and Kori, who is almost 10. She loves spending time with her daughters and her boyfriend on the weekends. In her spare time, Kristal likes to tackle DIY projects. She is currently refinishing two end tables. Krystal also enjoys going on cruises once a year to tropical destinations.
